Fast Response: Vote of Non-Confidence

Thank you for your email.

I have taken note of your concerns. I would note that confidence votes are held quite regularly in the House of Commons. As recently as last week we had a confidence vote on a financial piece of legislation. The Liberals and NDP acting as a coalition were able to sustain the government by outvoting the rest of the MPs.

With the NDP committed to propping up the Trudeau government, non-confidence is not going to remove the government right now. Elections have consequences, and we are stuck with the current government until the next election. We as Conservatives will do our part to continue to hold the Trudeau Liberals to account for leading the most incompetent, unethical and divisive government in our country’s history.

All the best, and stay safe!
