World Suicide Prevention Day (Sep 10)

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day.

Suicide is a critical public health issue that has a devastating impact across Canada,
especially within First Nations and northern communities. Furthermore, the
COVID-19 pandemic has also had a negative impact on the mental health and
wellness of Canadians. We, the Official Opposition, remain focused on raising
mental health awareness, removing the stigma and will work with provincial
governments to strengthen support for mental health across Canada when we form
government.
