Urgent Travel Update:

Announced by the Government of Canada on Monday March 16, 2020
(Changes to be in effect on March 18, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. EDT)

• Canada will deny entry to those who aren’t Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or U.S. citizens. Exceptions made for diplomats, air crews, and immediate family members of Canadian citizens.
• Anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms will not be able to board a flight into Canada.
• Non-domestic flights will be restricted to four international airports located in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.

Guidance for COVID-19 prevention and control in childcare and schools

The two most important ways to prevent and control respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, in schools and childcare settings are:

-For students/children and staff who are ill with respiratory illness symptoms (fever, cough, fatigue, and/or muscle aches) to stay home from school/childcare and;

-The consistent practice of good respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene.
